Styles of Home Furniture
There are times when it is just not easy to pick a particular style of furniture for the home. However, just like shopping for clothes or personal items, your selection of home furniture pieces may also be based on your personality and individuality. Simplicity and cleanliness of furniture lines is the main characteristic of Contemporary furniture. There are no detailed carvings nor elaborate features that are seen on other furniture styles. Traditional and contemporary looks are combined to create Transitional style of Home furniture. The resulting pieces are described to be comfortable and classy but at the same time stylish and hip. Simple and sophisticated, that’s what transitional furniture are.
Cottage home furniture pieces appear comfortable, colorful and graceful. They have usually glossy surfaces. While clean and streamlined are the characteristics of Modern Home Furniture. The surfaces, employing geometric shapes are polished.
